Alexx Duvall is a Brooklyn-based photographer who explores longing and dissonance within interpersonal relationships and the ephemeral quality of passing moments. Often using movement as a tool to convey tension, loneliness, and interdependence, she is known for her slow shutter shots that freeze an elongated moment and her focus on naturally occurring precise and geometric shapes.

Duvall’s photography is self-taught and rooted in a process-driven film and darkroom practice enriched by the communities she builds around her studio. Co-founder of Livingrooms, a multidisciplinary art space in Ridgewood, NY, Duvall uses this space as a laboratory for her work and to build connection and community around various artistic practices.
