Relief
About the Series
This is my first editioned series of prints. As such, I decided to start this journey with my favorite photographs of the past six years. In each frame, I still feel the tension and relief I felt while taking the image; longing, fear, and hope, almost indistinguishable from each other in one moment to the next, the pain of a broken heart followed by bittersweet relief. The dissonance of self from another and the freedom in healing.
About the Process
Cyanotype is a photographic printing process invented in the 19th century that produces a distinctive cyan-blue print. I picked cyanotypes for this project because of their simplicity, tonal depth, and tactility.
Editions
Each cyanotype is hand-printed on high-quality cold-press watercolor paper. Three prints are available of each image - they are numbered, signed, and dated. Please note that color and tone may vary slightly from your monitor to the actual print.
